The Rules regulate phytosanitary measures with regard to the prevention of spread of Diabrotica virgifera Le Conte (furtheron as: the organism) in delimited contaminated zones, surveys for the presence of the organism, as well as notifying and reporting.

The Rules reflect the content of the provisions of Commission Decision No 2003/766/EC with amendements.
