Slovene regulations governing seeds and propagating material

Rules on keeping of the register of suppliers of agricultural seeds and propagating material (OJ RS, No 29/03, 71/03, 72/03, 24/05 and 45/07)

(entry into force: 5 April 2003)

UNOFFICIAL CONSOLIDATED TEXT

The Rules regulate:

the content of application for entry into the register of suppliers;

documents to be attached to the application form;

conditions concerning professional competence to be satisfied by persons, liable to meet obligations of suppliers;

the content and the manner of keeping of the record.

In the part which refers to the obligations of suppliers, the Rules reflect the content of the following provisions:

Council Directive 92/33/EEC of 28 April 1992 on the marketing of vegetable propagating and planting material, other than seeds, as last amended by Council Directive 206/124/EC;

Commission Directive 93/62/EEC of 5 July 1993 setting out the implementing measures concerning the supervision and monitoring of suppliers and establishments pursuant to Council Directive 92/33/EGS on the marketing of vegetable propagating and planting material, other than seeds;

Council Directive 92/34/EEC of 28 April 1992 on the marketing of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants intended for fruit production, as last amended by Commission Decision 2005/55/EC;

Commission Directive 93/64/EEC of 5 July 1993 setting out the implementing measures concerning the supervision and monitoring of suppliers and establishments pursuant to Council Directive 92/34/EEC on the marketing of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants intended for fruit production;

Council Directive 98/56/EC of 20 July 1998 on the marketing of propagating material of ornamental plants, as last amended by Council Directive 2003/61/EC.

With the date of entry into force of these Rules the following Rules ceased to be valid:

Rules on the conditions for the production, processing and marketing of agricultural seeds and propagating material (OJ SRS, No 36/74)

Rules on the uniform control measures for the multiplication of agricultural seeds (OJ SRS, No 36/74 and OJ RS, No 111/00).
