B / MARKETING OF SEEDS AND PROPAGATING MATERIAL

I. ENTRY IN THE REGISTER OF SUPPLIERS

  • FORM1 - Basic information on the supplier and responsible expert

  • FORM2 - Basic information on the place / unit of production

  • FORM3 - Supplier's authorisation and statement of a responsible expert

II. MARKETING OF SEEDS AND PROPAGATING MATERIAL

  • Application for the issue of authorisation for marketing or import of seeds and propagating material of a variety which is in the acceptance procedure in the national list of varieties

  • Application for the entry of a seed mixture in the record of seed mixtures

III. IMPORT OF SEEDS AND PROPAGATING MATERIAL - THIRD COUNTRIES

On the basis of directives issued by the European Community, No. 66/401, 66/402, 68/193, 2002/54, 2002/55, 2002/56 and 2002/57  the Phytosanitary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia is liable to keep records on the imported seeds and propagating material of agricultural plants and communicate information to EU Member States and the Commission of the European Community.

However the data on seed potatoes and seeds of cereals, beet, fodder plants, oil and fibre plants and vegetables need not to be communicated, if a lot contains less than 2 kg of seed potatoes or seeds. According to Directives of the European Community No. 92/33, 92/34 and 98/56, keeping of records on the imported propagating material of ornamental plants, propagating and planting material of vegetables and propagating material and plants for planting of fruit plants, is not required.

Therefore the uniform application form and detailed data in relation to a consignment of agricultural seeds and propagating material, provided for in the above directives, has been adjusted.

In accordance with regulations governing plant health /ZZVR1-UPB1/ (Official Gazette of RS, No. 23/05) and Directive 2000/29/EC IMPORT OF Vitis sp. PLANTS FROM THIRD COUNTRIES IS FORBIDEN!
